  oooh, drive-in cinemas was THE treat in my childhood days and later for me to take the kids to, always preparing a beeeeeeg picnic basket with home made goodies... good old days

  Used to enjoy Star and Menlyn drive - ins in South Africa, it will be a pleasure to have these come back!

  I loved going to the drive-in, it was close enough that we could walk their. Parow Center in Cape town had a roof top drive-in and Pink Flamingo Rooftop Cinema at the Grand Daddy Hotel (although not a drive-in)

  It was part of the South African culture and grew up with Drive-Inns. Unfortunately television led to it's slow death. I think we might have one or two Drive-Inns left in South Africa.
