Clearly the brain is exceedingly complex, and the least understood part of our body. Simply by nature of the brain's function, there are such intricacies of interconnectivity within itself as well as other parts of the body. It seems to me, any attempt to artificially create the actual physical tools of its functionality could result in some unintended and unpredictable outcomes. Not exactly an area where "oops" is an option.
