As cejones says its a treat As for healthy, Mum and Dad should teach the kids the benefits of healthy and allow Junk food as a treat

While I approve of providing healthy options, I believe the number of people who actually want/demand this is a vocal minority. Parents should be able to decide for their children. I also see a number of adults (usually young women) who purchase them for themselves.

McDonalds is a TREAT. Why spend a fortune to buy apple slices & water. The PC brigade & nanny state are getting out of hand.

I agree with cejones3 and Garry.C - I don't think the cheese is the worst part.

It's not the Cheese, it's not the Meat it's that Mountains of FATS - including Trans Fats, SALT and SUGAR with which Macca's infuse their Rolls, the Meat and sauces which are the problems. Gradually reduce all of those over a few months until people become less Addicted to all that SUGAR, SALT and FAT. Then Macca's will have gone a long way to solving the Obesity Epidemic. If Macca's is sincere about addressing Health Issues then let them actually Do Something to Remove all that rubbish from their product and start producing Real Food which, like everything in moderation, is good for people.

Agree with cejones3. However at the same time I'm abit skeptical of the motive since the cheese burger is the cheapest burger available. What are they replacing it with? If anything?

I'm sick to death of people imposing their ideas on others. Fast food is supposed to be an OCCASIONAL treat, and as such it doesn't have to be healthy. That's part of the fun. In fact it's kind of the point. If I want to have plain water and apple slices, I can have them at home any time I like. People who can't or won't control themselves, and eat fast food morning, noon and night, and then whine that they're not healthy, are ruining it for everyone.
