Matilda: Is the fantasy version of real life for some children living in dysfunctional families. My grandson lives with his Father now that he has turned 14 (due to court decree when parents split); he does have the same supervision and interest in what he is doing in school; and getting him involved in extra curricular activities like his Mom did; and his grades are falling. I am always telling him in letters that he needs to do good for himself; he can determine how his life will go; even if those around him do not seem to care; he must care and achieve and excel to the best of his abilities; and that is what Matilda did.

The Parent Trap was such an amazing and relatable movie from my childhood. I think it helped to show children, even now, if your parents separate with enough support from your sibling you can find a way to reconnect and be a family again. It shows that your parents will move on and find someone else and you have to accept that person for who they are and that your parent loves them. The only part I feel is questionable is the end when the parents get back together that happens on rare occasions.

Mrs. Doubtfire showed Robin Williams in one of his best acting roles. He was so good in his costume that you almost could believe he was the housekeeper and so hilarious in some scenes that you just had to laugh out loud. They don't make many movies anymore this funny, yet sincere.

I feel Matilda showed that even in the midst of absolute idiocracy, a child can thrive in spite of their surroundings and outside influences with just a little understanding and encouragement.

Mrs. Doubtfire might be one of Robin Williams finest pieces of work. The humor he used to transition to a female nanny was spot on and hilarious.

I thought it was a cute story of how a family works together to achieve a little girls dream of being a pageant winner. Her talent routine was hilarious and was taught to her by her grandpa who dies on the way to the pageant complicating things. All in all a funny heartwarming movie.

I loved The Parent Trap and so did the young ones in my family. It's truly a family friendly funny movie that hits all the marks for entertainment - humor, a little clean romance, mischief, and the two girls getting to know each other.
