  Absolutely. Should be a law!

Nanny cameras are also necessary to watch how caregivers treat elderly relatives.

If I ever need a nanny cam on me to monitor my caregiver if I ever am too elderly to care for my own needs and household chores, I sure would want someone around to monitor that nanny/caregiver, especially when around me and when cooking the food. How would I know whether someone was being nurturing, kind, and caring versus the horrible thought of financial and physical elderly abuse. Nanny cams are not only to monitor the actions of babysitters, nannies, and other household help. It's also to protect elderly relatives who need help with basic life skills.

I actually want & will buy (for first time) one to observe my 3 cats.

I don't have children, but when I do, I plan to put them under the care of those who I absolutely trust. Having said that, I find no need for a nanny cam. :)

  I don

I do not have kids or parents to care for. I do think it is a wise idea to keep watch over nannies and other people you let into your house.

I have no children, but I can see why people might want to use the camera.
