What I used, besides ice, on my pierced lip was Bactine. They also gave me this spray called H2Ocean, I think that it's a saltwater fluid, and it really helped at relieving the pain and reducing the swelling a little bit. I think that they sell products like this at local tattoo and piercing parlors everywhere. I have seen it at a lot of them, so hopefully you find something that works for you

I suggest you locate Turmeric in its pure form and not blended version from some local Indian (india) store.
NOTE: that Turmeric is bright yellow ands will stain any clothing in touches so be careful, but i bet it will close the get that lip normal.

1. It is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent, useful in disinfecting cuts and burns.
9. It is a potent natural anti-inflammatory that works as well as many anti-inflammatory drugs but without the side effects.

I'd say ICE on and off for 20 minutes during the first few days, then you can try Orajel a numbing gel if your experiecing pain . I've heard that if you mix 1 or 2 ASPRIN Not Tylenol with Baking Soda, about a Tablespoon ,making a Paste Apply with paper towel It Not Only Relieves Swelling but Really Helps With Insect Bites, too Good Luck! Eat Soft Foods too!

Ice is probably your best bet. Also maybe some ice cream or something cold inside your mouth. But heck what do I know I have never had this done nor would I ever think of doing it. Hope it gets better sounds painful

That's okay if you just had it yesterday. It's pretty normal for it to swell. It took me around 3 months before mine totally healed. It's a good thing that you tried ice though. I'd recommend sucking on popsicles and rinsing your mouth with salty water. Heard that alcohol also slows down the healing process but I cant really attest to that as I was drunk most of the time when i had mine done, lol... Wait, you might wanna check out this link for some helpful tips: http://www.body-piercing.com.au/body_piercing_guide/labret_piercing_guide.htm

I have had my lip pierced for almost six years now. I remember when I got it pierced it swelled up quite a bit. There really isn't anything you can do about it other than wait for the swelling to go down. Try not to play with the ring or it irritates it. If the swelling doesn't go down in a day or two, you may have some food or something stuck in there. That happens to me every once and awhile.
