Vilest TV ever ?
Closed

I was somewhat at a loose end a few days ago and while flicking through the channels I was unfortunate enough to come across a programme named Dr Pimple Popper. I think it was being shown on the "Yesterday" channel.

I stood it for around 15 minutes and then had to turn it over as it was completely spoiling my enjoyment of a egg mayo sandwich LOL.

Sorry but I can't understand in the slightest why anyone would be interested in watching a nurse lancing boils and squeezing large amounts of puss from various lumps and bumps on peoples gross bodies.

certainly won't be watching that offering anytime soon !

Have you ever watched Dr Pimple Popper and if so why ?

Have you come across any other gross offerings on TV of Late ?

We hope you still managed to enjoy your sandwich after, Alan! Do you think there is a demographic who enjoys these TV shows or would you say it is just "filler" entertainment?

I've never even heard of this but it's content wouldn't surprise me with the likes of Strictly, Judge Judy and all those silly sports that we lose at being shown all the time.

Australia vs England in The Ashes was pretty sickening Alan! :-(

I share your repulsion at the current rash (sorry!) of dermatology-in-action reality TV shows. Dr Pimple Pimper started it, but there's a whole cluster of them now, from the Bad Skin Clinic to the Toe Doctor...
I enjoyed Embarrassing Bodies because the point of it was a necessary one - to reduce ignorance, encourage people to see their doctor, and hopefully to engender some empathy for people with various "Embarrassing" conditions.
But why people would want to appear on these programmes, let alone watch them, has me stumped. Just don't get it!

I do, but I don’t want to watch it, I’d rather watch something else.

Never heard of the show and won't be looking out for it. As for gross offerings, most reality TV pretty much describes that as far as I am concerned.
