Covid Traffic Lights

The government declared December 3rd as 'Freedom Day' for Auckland.

On this day, Aucklanders can come out of lockdown and, as long as they follow the rules of the 'Traffic Lights' they can move around more freely.

On December 15th, Aucklanders can cross the border and travel further afield if they are double jabbed, have a exemption or show a negative covid test.

Unfortunately, some Aucklanders haven't understood the rules.

I'm in the North.

While at the local Four Square, this morning, the man in front of me, at the counter, asked the shop assistant for directions.

He said he and his family were up from Auckland, and was keen to see his family, after being in lockdown for months.

He was shocked when he was told he shouldn't have left Auckland.

I wonder how many others have mistaken 'Freedom Day' for crossing the borders day?

What colour is your region?

Are you planning on travelling, or are you expecting visitors?

Do you understand the traffic light rules?

Your thoughts on Freedom Day, Travelling Day or the Traffic Light rules?

Yep Orange here too. a lot of people don't realize that you don't have to have a vaccine passport when you go into a shop. I have two part time jobs and work in retail too. Reply
