Black Lives Matter

The Black Lives Matter movement has, again, called for a month-long boycott of 'white companies' to support 'Black Xmas'.

'Black Xmas' started in 2014.

People, presumably black people, are encouraged to 'Buy Black, Bank Black Buy exclusively from Black-owned businesses' ... and boycott white businesses.

Apparently, many do this, but after Christmas things generally turn back to normal.

America continues to tear itself apart.

Can you imagine if the strategy was reversed?

Can you imagine white people not supporting anything black?

Can you imagine white businesses refusing to supply black businesses with goods, services or finance?

White only Hospitals? White doctors and nurses not treating sick or injured black people?

White only bus services? White only toilets and shops?

Can you imagine white businesses refusing to serve, rent or sell to black people?

What will it have achieved?

Segregation - again?

Your thoughts?

For some strange reason they don't seem to notice what they are doing is having the opposite effect to that which supposedly they are after. Or, maybe that is the whole point ? It shouldn't be giving any one group power over another. I know this has been argued to death but, until we accept that ALL LIVES MATTER, & don't accept any one group oppressing another , boycotting another, looking down at another, and generally being an ass, I think we are in for a lot more trouble. This style of activism will never work, accept to alienate people from each other & continue the cycle.

I agree with all of that, and any form of such segregation can only be dangerous, it's something we are seeing a slow gradual slide towards here, and I can only worry how far it may go and what the end of it could be
