I chose The Windmills of Your Mind sung by Dusty Springfield because my mind has been in overdrive this weekend. Questions that will never be answered. It's about thought itself. I think this and then another thought pops up. The thoughts are going round in circles! That was a thought too, like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind; and then again...I'd rather have windmills in my mind than spider webs!

"When you knew that it was over you were suddenly aware; That the autumn leaves were turning to the color of his hair!
Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
As the images unwind, like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind"

Anyways - thought, inspiration, memories, unanswered questions, contemplation about life and the circles and cycles of our life - that is what I feel when I hear this song. I prefer Dustys voice to others who have performed this song as well.

What do you think? Do you feel windmills in your mind lately? I hope you enjoy.

I do that in my sleep sometimes; or I should say when I'm trying to go to sleep or go back to sleep or even in my dreams. Reply

Funnily, this song was running through my minder earlier this weekend. I believe it is from the original "Thomas Crowne Affair" with Steve McQueen. Loved this song. Reply
