I had a visitor earlier , but I didn't know !

What a shame I missed it , I'd have let him in , seriously !
Around 8 a.m. , I looked out from my front door , and saw this .
I placed a footprint there for perspective , I hope you can see it ?
About 30 yards from my house is a stand of trees where, in better weather , a group of foxes get together in the late evening , for reasons I can't begin to understand ! ;)
Therefore , I'm fairly sure this was a single fox , seeking company !
If only he'd knocked , we could have shared some popcorn lol !
I'd have posted it earlier , but I was ready for bed lol !
Have you ever had a close encounter with wildlife ?

Might not be clever inviting a fox into the house, they're really hoping to case the joint. One look at your kitchen and there's a good chance if they get in you'll have one unpleasant smell to deal with. On the other hand, it's nice to have a visitor that isn't wearing a cloth mask.... Reply

I once had to chase a fox out of my allotment mate, the bugger was eating my cabbages! :-( Reply

Loads mate, foxes, deer, stoats/weasels, badgers, adders, grass snakes, a very friendly swan which followed me home and a jackdaw which would sit on my shoulder while I fed it. I'm a country boy and a gardener by trade so it was a part of everyday life.;-) Reply

Are you sure it wasn't one of the neighborhood cats, on the prowl looking for supplementary benefits? ;)
I reckon those foxes are out dogging at night lol ;) !! Don't the screams frighten you? They sound SO human, I hate waking up in the early hours and hearing them, so chilling, till you gather your senses and realise it's just fox cries...
... And of course, if their sounds don't scare you , I bet their smells do!?!? Lol xx
