Still Snowing ...!
Closed

It's been snowing since about 4am continuously - about seven inches so far...

So please remember to feed the birds in your garden/patio/balcony/street, if you can :)

Sunflower seeds, red grapes, bacon rinds, chopped apple, raisins, raw peanuts, or unsweetened muesli will all do fine if you don't have any proprietary Bird Food available like Fat Balls or Seed Mixes; even if you only have bread, then toastcrumbs made from granary or wholewheat will do :)

Our feathered friends will really appreciate your help in this weather when they need every calorie they can get to get warm and stay alive ... And you'll encourage birds to your home ready for next weekend's Big Garden Birdwatch - are you taking part? You can join in online - just go to www.rspb.org

We had snow on Friday evening Hawks and it has not melted yet as it is still very cold. As for birds I never feed them as the would be no point as I live on the waterfront and anything edible instantly attracts seagulls.

We've got our 1st real snow of the winter; not planning on going out to measure how deep it is !
I'll pack it all up and send it over to you !!

We had snow falling for most of the day, but it seems to have passed by now.
As for the birds, our feeding stations are probably a little busier than normal but it's hard to tell as we always have plenty of activity at them.

All foods are topped up and they be a munchin on the Fat Balls and Sunflower seeds but not bathing in the drinking water so it will probably solidify ..

Light snow on and off all morning here Hawks and that's quite enough for me.
Just seen an angry exchange between a couple of blue tits and a robin over squatting rights on the fat balls, with a blackbird waiting patiently underneath for any bits they drop. xx

Seven inches is a fair amount; we have sunshine and a frost up here in NE Scotland
