Covid Killer?
Closed

I received an ad this morning that stated UV rays could kill the Coronavirus. I know in the past it was believed that a sun lamp could cure Lupus. Do you think this is possible, for the rays to kill this horrific disease or do you think it is just another company trying to make a profit on this tragedy?

I think at this point it is worth looking into any possible cures and treatments. That being said, I also think it needs to be approached cautiously.

Thank you for your thoughts on this topic.

Please stay healthy and safe.

Have a great day!

Everyone has a snake oil cure now. I got the most sensible and low cost one of Vitamin C and Garlic Pills. Neither can kill you or bankrupt you.

My husband bought me sun lamps because he research and found it was to help my fibromyalgia. In the winter I don't get outside much. I have not seen any difference when I use the lamp.

That’d be great if it worked.

I saw a report on TV that showed a woman with a UV light box and she puts her sunglasses, keys and wallet in it when she gets home. I don't know about the cost but it would be great if this works. As a matter of fact, if it did and if it were proven to be safe for people and food, wouldn't it be wonderful if stores could have them as you walk out of the store to disinfect your belongings (kind of like the conveyor belts you use at the airports). But it's going to have to be proven before I rely on that.
