Have you ever picked up furniture off the curb?
Closed

We found my very favorite green comfy couch on the curb! It was so large though, we had someone hanging halfway out of the car in order to keep it in the trunk. I'm sure we looked ridiculous cruising down the road with our couch-acessory, but it lasted us many year and was the perfect price--FREE!

yep, several pieces of real wood furniture(vanity for niece, cedar gun case, etc) although not anything upholstered since that would have collected who knows what from the previous owners.

….no, never! Though I have seen some good items on those curbs and I have been known to put out some good stuff myself for others to have and it goes fast (meaning within minutes)!

Have picked up a few pieces of furniture to give to a friend who has a booth at a flea market; she likes having furniture in her booth

Nowadays you have to worry about bed bugs when picking upholstered furniture. A man was throwing away two wrought iron plant holders at the dump once and my husband asked if he could have them. He sanded them, stained them and they look just as good as new on our front porch. My mom had a wing chair that she didn't want to spend the money on having it reupholstered (my brother used it and let his infant daughter eat in it - need I say more about the condition?) We set it out on the street with a free sign and within five minutes one of her neighbors got it and told her she was going to reupholster it herself.

Only if there's something good. Unfortunately in my area not a lot of good stuff goes the way of the curb. I think the last cool thing that was on the curb that looked really good was a grill but somebody else got to it first.
