Do you think Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras are still necessary and relevant in Australia now that we have achieved marriage equality?

Sydney last night celebrated it's 40th annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. But do you think Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras are still necessary and relevant in Australia now that we have achieved equality?

No. The drunk people at the event on the weekend assaulted my father (a taxi driver). Public drunkenness is unacceptable and there is no excuse.

Well yes., as it is about celebration when sex between consenting adults of same gender became legal. The actual mardi gras brings in big dollars from overseas people as well, helping to stimulate the economy. I am not happy with everything that is shown in the mardi gras, even myself being a gay person
