Sweden is known for its commitment to keeping citizens happy and recently did an experiment testing out the 6 hour work day. Do you think the US should try something like this? Why?
Closed

This experiment definitely made the people happier and less stressed, but cost more for the company due to employing more people to pick up the slack.

They stated hiring new people put a $738,000-sized dent in the payroll — an increase of about 22% but also lowered unemployment costs during that time.

Do you think the US should do something like this to help raise the unemployment rate and make workers less stressed? Or is the cost of hiring new workers too much to make this an option?

The right solution would be 7 hours of work per day; I believe that such a solution would be valid in all western countries, in Europe and America

I would love a 6 hour work day! I don't think it's feasible in the long run. Of course, I also want to work 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) for 8 hours a day & get paid for 40. I just love to dream!

It would drive more businesses to move overseas. Anything they can do not to pay an American worker a fair livable wage. Employees in America do not matter!!! Only money!
