baby update at 6 weeks - clicky hips

as the majority of you know i gave birth to my 3rd little girl just before xmas.
I took her to the doctors on thursday for her 6 week check up. Every thing was fine apart from the doctor was concerned about her creases between her legs. Apparently the creases between babies legs should be the same on both legs. if there is one leg that has more creases than the other there is a possibility of "clicky hips" I have to take her back in 2 weeks to get checked again.the doctor was unsure about one crease, he couldnt find a matching one. has anyone else gone through this?

If she has a clicky hip you have to keep your eye on her,the way she walks, that she does not walk with an uneven gate,if she is one of her hips is affected.the clicking sound comes from the snapping sound the liggament is making. If she has an even gate or the clicking is going on you will have to consulta an Orthopaedic surgeon.

Yes I have heard about it. If your baby does have clicky hips, she won't be able to walk properly. It means the head of the femur isn't sitting in its socket right and if thats th case your baby may need to wear plaster casts for awhile, but then all should be ok.
