How many of you have qualified and completed a survey, but was still "disqualified" at the end???

I took a survey on home furnishings today worth 4,500 points. I spent over 30 minutes answering the questions honestly. I spent the appropriate amount of time for each question. I even spotted all of the "security" questions and answered appropriately. I got all the way to the end of the survey where it asked me for my demographics. Right after I answered the last question of the survey, I was taken to Toluna's site and I was informed that I did not qualify for the survey. Is Toluna kidding me??? I spent over 30 minutes on the survey. I KNOW FOR A FACT that I qualified. I hate how Toluna takes advantage of members like that. Thanks Toluna, thanks a lot. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy my answers. I hope you enjoy the 4,500 points you ripped off of me.

(Let's see how long this topic stays up before Toluna takes it down.)

Same thing happened to me. I was on the last question on race and when I answered it gave me a message "the survey was full." I started the survey at 1am and didn't finish until almost 2am. I was so livid. It it was full, what did it ask me question after question for an hour until I got to the end and found out. It has happened to me several times. Also, I was just going through all the old surveys that are pending points and one I have been waiting on since early November has now been changed from pending to a drawing entry. Toluna should give us some reason why I am not getting survey points.

Do not get frustrated, this happens so much even with other sites that I belong to. It has happened to me so many times that I can not count. I agree demographics should be done at the beginning of a survey to save on time but what can we do. We have to take these things as they come and hope for the best. It is pretty well the same with everything that we do now adays. We are at the bottom of the list when it comes to most companies given any consideration to who supports them. I love Toluna to pieces and yes some times I do get frustrated also but I would not change anything just for the fact that I belong to a careing and thoughts group of people that think and have opinion as I myself do. It is wonderful. Bless you.

This situation is not unique to Toluna - it has happened to me on other survey sites as well as Toluna and complaints have produced mixed results; a couple times I did get the points. By now I have remembered the actual survey firms and the still open surveys and will try to get DQd at the beginning or just log off the page. BTW, I have been offered identical surveys on several sites, so do not blame Toluna, but do complain if their partner rips you off.

As you can see by the many other people here on Toluna who have been ripped off, that this is a frequent situation. Toluna always has some excuse or tries to deflect blame back onto the survey taker. But we know that it isn't just incompetence by Toluna. It is IN FACT that we are being ripped off on these long surveys. The real solution is that no survey (including demographics) should be more than 6 to 8 minutes long). We'll still get ripped off sometimes, but it won't feel so bad. If they think they have 20 or 30 minutes of questions (usually badly formed and often repetitive), then they should break it down into at least 3 separate surveys. Also, exacly WHY don't they remember our demographics anyway? Haven't they heard of cookies or just remembering our user ID or even our IP address? There is something seriously wrong with the effort and expertise of Toluna.

That has also happened to me. It is not right. I emailed Toluna, even with the survey ID. I was told that I had only answered the "preview" questions, after 30 minutes of detailed questions! I believe that I completed the entire survey. I have been disqualified before, after 5 - 10 questions, about 1 - 2 minutes. I am okay with that, I probably didn't meet the quota required. However, after answering detailed questions, viewing pictures, etc. I completed the survey! What can you do? What will Toluna do?

This has happened to me as well. very annoying. when i first started this i thought it would be a fun way to earn some change in my spare time but the more i try the worse it gets, all i ever recieve is "drawing entries" which, dont get me wrong id love to win a lump of cash, but id sure rather just have the points. i get to complete one every once in a while but i think for about every 5 i try, im lucky to get all the way throught one. oh well i guess i shouldve known there would be a catch lol

Don't take it personally because it does happen to everybody here. I too feel some surveys are designed that way and they are an easy way to get members to take one for the team (or dozens really). I've also noticed a trend of convenient "technical difficulties" after finishing a long survey. Note too that it's only after finishing the survey (wink, wink) as I never get these "we are experiencing technical difficulties" while in the middle of a survey. No, just like being "disqualified" after finishing a survey, they wait until I've finished a 40 minute survey to tell me thanks and then transfer me to a page telling me "Sorry, we are experiencing technical difficulties". I'm always left ranting "well that was convenient!" :)
My biggest issue with Toluna right now is still having 35 pending incentives going all the way back to the beginning of November though. I'd be happy to just get my incentives right now.. even aside from the games they're playing after completing surveys. I've even been backing off from taking surveys lately because of it..

Yup! That has happened to me, numerous times. And, I have emailed my complaints. Now, I just refuse to do surveys over 20 minutes, regardless of how many points. As a self employed person, my free time is too limited and too valuable to be ripped off like that. If everyone refuses to complete those long surveys that hold us hostage, then steal opinions & data from us, they will shorten the surveys and be more careful about ripping us off.

This happens to me almose every single day. It just happened to me now. I was doing a survey of toys I had brought for Christmas eigher online or at a store. We were doing just great then they asked me for my income. Bango, they kicked me right out. And it was for 8,000 points. I think they get the information they want then by kicking us out the get out of paying the points to us. Stupid survey companies.
