What's your a opinion on leaglization of Marijuana??

I think it would be beneficial because it has MANY benefits to help people who are sick with cancer, glaucoma, CF,etc. It's proven not one person has died or overdosed on weed. There has been claims that it kills brain cells but that has never been supported by any scientific study.Google it, the pros out weight the cons. Plus it's WAY safer than alcohol and any other man made drug.

I certainly agree that Marijuana should be legalized with a tax of at least $5 per joint to generate income for the government. There should also be a minimum fine of $5,000 for anyone who smokes Marijuana in public since there are a number of us who are given massive headaches by Marijuana smoke. Of course, there are also those who are just put to sleep from Marijuana. I never could understand why some of my children and grandchildren thought Marijuana was so great unless they just thought it was cool to be slumped asleep in the corner at parties. By the way, we used to grow a few acres of hemp during WW2 for the war effort to help ease the shortage of rope.

It has a wide range of medicinal benefits from glaucoma to pain. Merinol is legal in the state of Missouri which is a pill that includes Marijuana, it looks like fidh eggs, a friend of mine that had a terminal condition used to take this medication. I have also seen lotin in my local Walmart with 'hemp' as an ingriedent. I tend to agree it's another plant that grows from our earth like all other drugs that people take everyday for various conditions.

Often i really wonder why Marijuana was never legalized from the start based upon other mandated "legal" substances such as alcohol or cigarettes.
I do believe that pot burns some brain cells among potheads, but what does not do this among the countless things available in society.
The legalization of pot would probally not decrease or even increase more usage since legally citizens might be provided the option to grow their own.
Also, the plantation of hemp could materialize as an alternative fuel since hemp can grow even among the harshest most arid regions.
Hemp was the source for fuel of Henry Ford's first combustible engines, but lost way with oil instead.
Most employers would not permit pot use so even if were legal, you still would get your pre-employment drug test and not awarded employment too.
Logically available via prescription for cancer patients, glaucoma users etc is far better than denying its benefits.

I think that clearing out the prison system for low level drug dealers and users would be a big benefit. Also, if it was legalized, it could be taxed which would bring in more money. People who are going to smoke it are still going to smoke it if it is legal, and this way they are contributing to society. As for medical benefits, there are already states who have legalized it with a dr. prescription. From what i saw in college, people get mellow not belligernet like drunks do.

i am all for it they need to legalize it in every state asap it would help stop the weed sellers for one from being able to sell it cause people would rather go get it from somewhere safe and more regulated i also think that it would bring sum of the crime down alot there would be no drug houses to rob an for police to raid and possibly get killed at some of the crime and arrest rate would drop alot

I think this is long overdue. I could be safely made, bought in the open without the dangers of having to go to questionable neighborhoods or using drug dealers. Would put many a drug dealer out of business. Gain lots of money in taxes. Provide relief for many that need it for medicinal purposes. Keep so very many users of this fairly benign drug out of jails wasting tax payer money, their current and future livihood due to the stigma and very real convictions just for having a small amount on thier person.

It should be legal and taxed just like cigarettes and alcohol. Look what prohibition did to the consumption of alcohol, increased crime and consumption. It became the in thing to go out and drink . It helps many people survive the pain of many illnesses and does not hurt them. The so called harm has never been proven. It can make you hungry and for many ill people it would help their bodies to fight the illnesses by making the body stronger. It would create jobs for the economy.

I definitely believe it should be legalized, but moderated and taxed. That way, the government can create new jobs, get some money to put into the system and not have so much money spent on people on prison/jail.
