I am still not completely certain as to how much it will affect me. I think if the fixes are put in place it may work. I have health care and just don't want to be affected "tax" or other wise. I feel I already pay to much to have other people milk the system ( I know many people that do it) and I don't appreciate coveing people just because they don't want to work. Granted I know alot of people can't find jobs to support their families. I think everyone should have the right to have health coverage as long as I am not the one paying for them.
No, not yet, said John M. Jordan, executive director of the eBusiness Research Center at Penn State's Smeal College of Business. "There are lots of ways it can go wrong," Who does not use the Internet to pay his bills or do his banking. Thieves are proficient at outsmarting the technology banks use to provide online access to your accounts. Online crime is a multi-billion dollar global business. "So far the bad guys are ahead." A few ways crooks can get your account information and use it to steal your money
My husband and I have been watching C-SPAN all day, about the vote on the new health bill President Obama is trying to pass. It is quite exciting at times, when they get rowdy and the Speaker has to slam that gavel down many times! I hope this won't continue on until midnight, but my husband says it is possible. It is historical and interesting. I think everyone should watch a little of it. What do you think? Or is it just easier to get the summary the following day on the news or in the paper or online?
Like the man in this photo I was angry with God when my mom passed away. I truely understand now why she has gone on. God doesn't always give me what I want. He does give me what I need. God came to me in the form of a storm exerting all power and intensity to deliver a message to me. How about you?
Money walks, we all know, and who wouldn't want to be a millionaire? Well, when it comes to the politics of Hollywood, I am thankful I am poor and a nobody. LOL I wouldn't want to be known for my stupidity or my consistent bad behavior, nor be the butt of ongoing negativity which is what many media sites thrive on to keep their publicity running. My list includes Macaulay Culkin as a kid, Michael Jackson for the last 10 years of his life, and Sarah Palin, currently. I think they all go without saying, don't they?
There are many great book that I have read and loved only to find that movies are later made from them. Some of these movies that I've watched that have been made from books are very disappointing to me. In books anything is possible and the imagination can make it all real. On a movie set not everything is as easily possible. Often times entire chapters of books are left out of the movie all together. This always leaves me wondering why they thought it was not an important part of the story. When I read a book, I try to never watch the movie. How about you?
I do believe there shoud be a tougher law that targets this ever growing menice to our society. In doing the research for this opinion, I came across very important information that may help those with questions. I did not know that tatoos were one form of gang society, its a symbol and trade mark to a gang they belong to. I did know about gang graffiti they leave their calliing card on just about anything they can, its represents this is their territory, for all others to stay off the grounds. I also learned that some of the songs that are out today, most of the rap, is gang related, I was rather shocked by this, and realized how many young people buy the gangs rap, hip hop, music to support their gang cause, the language that is clearly spoken in the songs states the language they expresse, totally shocked. Do not think its just for the boys, its not, many girls hae their own gangs, and their just as destructive if not worse than the boys. i just thought this would be an enlightment for all who is interested.
I can only wonder these days, if the History of the founding of the United States of America is still taught in our school systems. Of course, there is the possibility that what is being taught is perverted from the actual truth. This may be why there appears to be little interest & knowledge about this Country’s formation. Even more serious is the apparent lack of concern exhibited by the citizenry of the U.S. It is no wonder that our Country is in the shape it is in today. It is also no wonder why people are putting up with Obama & the Democrats’ actions & tactics.
Since I’ve become a member of Toluna, I started a series of opinion topics of “Quotes from our Founding Fathers.” I had hoped that these postings would give people some background information on the thinking of the men, who founded our Country. It is amazing to me the foresight that these men had: George Washington, "No pecuniary (monetary) consideration is more urgent, than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt: on none can delay be more injurious, or an economy of time more valuable." Thomas Jefferson, “Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence. " Patrick Henry, "Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom. No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles." Thomas Paine, “Beware the greedy hand of government, thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry.” Every one of these quotes have a place in our Country today. But little interest has been shown in the Founding Fathers’ series, which by the way will continue. I don’t know if people ignore the topics; or if they view them & feel they have nothing to add; but responses have been almost non-existent.
