I am curious as to what people think on this topic. Please try to keep it friendly and to the point. How do you feel about this whole idea?

I worry about what is going to happen in the future for my grandkids. I think that we are worse than the last depression happened due to the ongoing of higher cost of living, food, clothing and housing. It bothers me to no end that no matter what we do as a people seems like the white house and those that run it are going to do whatever they think they can in thinking that it is okay for all of us. Evdery year I swallow harder not knowing what is going to happen next and keep praying for a miracle

OKay so ive never personally met anyone famous before although my chances might increase this year when i go to L.A in May but last week my mom met Bruce Willis. He was here in Canada filimg his new movie Red and stayed in Langdon Hall where my mom works!! Pretty cool. Who have you met??

Our President and Speaker Pelosi claim to be "working" those Congressmen/women who are not committed to voting yes on the health care bill. Our President also says he is committed to eliminating "bullying" from our schools. A large part of bullying is the promise of rewards (if you go along) and the threat of reduced privileges (if you do not go along). A playground bully will likely resort to adding physical assault to the verbal assault - Other than the inclusion of physical assualt, how are Obama's and Pelosi's actions any different than the school bully's?

If any of them Republicans, Democrats or Independents want to make real changes in our government federal and state... they would start by downsizing with dignity. If done sparingly and with planning downsizing can be our country's lifesaver.

One thing that would save us a ton of money is to put a stop to the Congressional Committee voting for their own pay raises and benifits. This should be done on a state level by the people when they are voting for local elections.

Obama, well he sounded good and sold himself very well. But, he lacks the backbone to do something about it. He has the very power that put him in office,"The People". If he had a backbone he could overturn the vote of the Congressional Committee by calling for a public vote. This would put the power back where it belongs "in the hands of the people". It would be a bold move by a bold man. Moreover, it would return faith to this country.

Should Obama override the Congressional Committee and calling for a public vote?
