I sometimes give it a little touch to see if the paint is dry. Maybe the sign has been on the bench for quite some time and I am tired and need to sit down.

I don't have kids but I would imagine I would not be very happy and I would hate to be the person who did it!

I think it is just as wrong for a woman to hit a man. Unfortunately, many times it goes unreported because the men feel embarressed or are trying to protect the woman they love who obviously has a different definition of "love" than they do. Laying your hands on someone else is never ok, female or male. Just walk away and if you're smart you'll get out of the dysfunctional relationship. I know, sounds easier said than done, but if you love yourself that's what you need to do.
