ck, commented on your excellent OT on Royal Carribean and Haiti, specifically, Labadee. Read it and write me back if I'm not correct. God bless the people of Haiti. Later JS

I was reading your comment about PayPal. I have a PayPal and if you want money from your paypal account you will not get a check however, your money can be transfered to your bank account that linked to your PayPal. Hope this helps.

Royal Carribbean Cruise lines are still including Haiti as a vacation destination. Am I the only one who thinks that this is dispicable? Passengers frolicked and held a barbecue on the beach while enjoying cocktails. All this while just a few miles away people are still dying under rubble. It was reported that children were begging for food at the fence near the barbecue. Of course this did not stop anyone from having a good time. Royal Carribean should have cancelled Haiti but they should have gone on to another island for their fun. The port where they docked could have been used for medical evacuations or food delivery. Royal Caribbean and their passengers have shown a total lack of respect for human suffering.

I think the cruise line should have should have changed its venue. It's hard to see how vacationing on a beach in a country that's largely been turned into rubble could possibly be appealing to anyone.

What do you think of clothing stores throwing out items that did not sell? H&M was metioned on the news but it was noted that it is also common practice among other stores. So many people today could use these clothes. They could put them on a really reduced price and not a silly sale to get you into the store. They could donate to the homeless or to folks who lost their possessions in a fire or natural disaster. It seems like greed finds its way right to the dumpster. I'm sure that they are getting a tax write off on these items and then cry all the way to the bank. It seems like they would rather throw things in the garbage instead of helping people.

Why don't they take them to the Salvation Army or another charitable place? They get to take off of their taxes for charitable donations, so why waste such good clothing when people could really use them? We are such wasteful people in this country!!!

Should someone in the US Military be permitted to "Quit" the service?
Do you think that someone in the United States Military should be allowed to quit the Military Service? Perhaps someone signed up right...
ck_bunnyrabbitOpinion by ck_bunnyrab...
Do you think that someone in the United States Military should be allowed to quit the Military Service? Perhaps someone signed up right out of high school, and a year or so later is needed at home to care for a family member. Or a woman has a baby and wants to stay home and care for it. What happens if a Military member is being sent to the country of his birth to fight? He could possibly be fighting against family or friends. This could also be a danger to the soldier and those around him. Do you believe in "American Soldier first?" Or should other factors be considered? I think that they could be sent to another Military location- Korea instead of Afganstan. This way they are fulfilling their military obligation and not putting themselfs or anyone else in additional danger. What do you think of this?
KilakilaOpinion by Kilakila
I second everything you said above. I would add some other thoughts. If somebody signed up at a very young age, he might not have been fully aware of the full scope, possibly due to lack of life experience. There is the saying "my country, right or wrong". However, I could envision situations, where somebody is really willing to do whatever it takes to defend his country. But when he feels his country engages in a war that is wrong and immoral, a war he doesn't believe in at all, it becomes very difficult for him to fight against his conviction. If military members like that were allowed to quit, the decision about a war would not be made by the government alone, but also by the soldiers. It would be more democratic.
