The most serious accident I have had was a sprained ankle on the volleyball court, so it was not in or around my own home. But the result of this accident did not take effect until the next day when I woke up at home and could not walk on that foot at all. Did not go to the doctors for it, since I did not have health insurance at the time. My doctor friend came over to bind my foot tight, and my other friend lent me her crutches for a few weeks.
When I was a senior high school student, one of the Physical Education Instructors hit me on my eye with a smashing ball of tennis while my classmates and I were playing basketball. He said he was walling near us but one of his students said they saw him pointed the direction of the ball towards us. He didn't care. He just left me lying on the floor in pain. He didn't bring me to our school's clinic. He didn't even apologize at all. My affected eye was very red and it had an internal bleeeding and I couldn't see. Even my other eye can't see anything even if it wasn't hit. I think it's because of the strong impact. It was REALLY PAINFUL and I was REALLY SCARED that I might not be able to see again or one of my eyes. Good thing after around 2 months it healed. But it has been really hard for me cause I was still attending my class while in the recovery period. I was just listening to lessons 'coz I don't want to stop from schooling escpecially that I was in my senior year.
Several years ago I slipped on the outside stairs going down to the garage when it was snow covered and icy. I partially tore my rotator cuff and it was so painful for many months. I still have to be careful just how I twist it.
This past Christmas season I was trying to put the star on top of my tree. Before I knew it the ottoman went forward and so did I. It scared me more than it hurted. After that I had no pain or anything. I am thankful to God that I did not have any injuries behind that.
My daughter had spilled tea on the cupboard and it was running onto the floor. I hurried around the counter and slid on it. I ended up with the handle of the cupboard door going into my arm. I went to ER. I was lucky I didn't break something or worse.
yes two of them...once I tripped over the dog in the dark and dislocated my shoulder....another time my daughter flooded the bathroom floor and called me in...when I came in I slipped and fell hitting my side on an open cabinet door and cracked two ribs. There have been others but those are the two i will never forget as both of them landed me in the emergency room...and emergency visits for me last at least four hours and mostly closer to eight.
