Do you know anyone with a problem name?

HERE IS ONE..............................The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street (pronounced Peek-A-Boo) is not
just an athlete.... She is now a nurse currently working at the
Intensive Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital. She is not
permitted to answer the hospital telephones. It caused too much
confusion when she would answer the phone and say,

Picabo, ICU.

Oh, that is too funny. Is this for real? My husband had an actor's name. He got rid of a portion of it. His mom picked his name but he did not like that people would hear his name and say right away:Oh, like the actor. He was born before the actor I should say but it was just a coincidence that the actor has the same name. Anyways, he does not miss his name at all and for us family we can always tease him as much as we want. He cannot escape us!!! I did not even know by the way that we could change or delete a portion of our names on our birth certificates.

LOL Are you serious? LOL Now, that is TOO funny! My son went to school with a boy named Marshall Butts. You can just imagine all the jokes he had to endured. I just do not think that it is fair for a parent to name their children certain names. A last name can not be helped BUT, a first name should take a LOT of thought before making it final. MY niece said something that was very wise some years ago. She said that a parent shoudl name their child as an adult because, they are children for only temporarily and they become adults permenantly. That is so true and I had tried to do that with my own children whose names are Stephen and LaRoy.
