Do you support the law against using cell phone while driving?

Completely.

I know I can't drive while talking on my cell phone, so I generally don't do it. I'm on the road an awful lot and I've had narrow-misses with MANY a driver who couldn't be bothered to pay attention to where they are going because they were too busy talking on the telephone.

Have we really become a culture that can't go FIVE MINUTES without some sort of social stimulation? Text messages, cell phones, laptops, PDAs, instant messengers... REALLY?

A long time ago we had to send our communications across country on HORSEBACK, for crying out loud, and nobody shriveled up and died waiting for WEEKS for a piece of mail.

These days, we can't wait 10 or 15 freaking minutes to make a phone call or send a text message and we're willing to put ourselves and everyone around us in danger because we're THAT impatient?

Give me a break.

JUST DRIVE!!

Yes.
Its dangerous.
And its distracting.
Nobody wants that while driving!
Driving is where you drive a car; not where you talk on the phone.
Get it right!

Yes! I can't tell you how many people I have been behind or have seen driving while talking or texting and they were either going so slow or not paying attention to what they were doing.

Yes, and it sould even be manditory that they are turned off when in a vehicle. There have been too many tyimes I have almost been hit or someone pulled out in front of me when they were on their cell phone.

Absolutly!
So many people are dieing because of car crashes now and most of them include people using their phone while driving. I really don't like it when teenagers are on the phone while driving. What is so important that you cant wait 10 minutes to check?!
People should be watching the road not their phones. Its ridiculous. I completely support the law against using phones while driving!

Yes i support this law. I feel that it is very important to pay attention while driving. People that use their cellular phone while driving endanger their, and other peoples, lives.

I personally don't think it unsafe to use a handsfree device with your cell phone while driving in order to make a phone call, but i do think it us unsafe to look away from the road, and retrieve a handheld device such as a cell phone to text or make phone calls to someone. It is distracting to one's attention, and could cause an accident. Therefore, I do support the law against cell phone use while driving.

Yes. I have almost been hit many times by someone going too fast (or too slow) while using a cell for for calls, texting, app use, or whatever they were doing. I drive manual, so it is near impossible for me to use a cell phone anyways. If I get a call, or need to make a call, I pull over at the nearest parking lot and talk. The worst part is that many of the drivers that can not live without their cell phones while driving are new drivers. They are already at a disadvantage by not having the experience that older drivers have. I have no idea what people need to text each other 150 times or more a day, but it seems silly. My husband and I work full time and have two small children. Our schedule everyday is crazy and we do not need to communicate that much in a day. I love my friends and family, but I do not need a minute by minute accounting of their day. Enjoy the drive, maybe look at a tree, or listen to the radio. Turn off the phone and enjoy your thoughts!

Yes, please don't use the cell phone for making call , answerings calls ortexting while driving.
Multitasking is not a good idea when you are driving. Just think, you have to pay attention to the traffic, you might be listening to the radio, paying attention to what the kids are doing in the back seat, and you want to add a conversation to that mix, I don't think we are equipped to do all of that and drive safely also, so please, don't drive and use a cell phone. We can't be that important that we have to be connected 24-7. I like to get away from the phone once in awhile and in the car I DO!
