i turned 37 years old yesterday!

hehe, yesterday was my birthday, I'm now 37 years old and quite frankly the thought makes me laugh out loud it really is the most surreal thing, its just so strange to think that i am classed as being in my late 30's and will be 40 years old in three years time, i don't have any children (never had the desire to) but i have a friend at work who turned 21 not so long ago...... I'm literally old enough to be her mum, another source of amusement to me!
i find it hard to understand why some people worry about getting older, the only downside I've noticed is the onset of arthritis and recovery time after a night out is ever-so slightly longer (my head is still fuzzy from last night and it probably will be till tomorrow lunchtime!)
anyway, not a proper topic thing, but just wanted to share my joy on growing another year!

Hope you had a happy birthday, I turned 37 in January of this year so am grimly contemplating my 38th...nah not really, I don't mind. I have starting using anti-wrinkle eye cream though...

I know what you mean, I'm 37 too and it all seems a bit surreal - I don't really feel much different from how I did in my 20's but I know people react to me differently once they find out my age (I'm lucky enough to look younger, fortunately) and it seems a bit daft because it's just a number and I'm still the same person! I do have a child - she's only 2 - and although I know society would consider me an 'older mum', I really don't feel like I am. The only things I've noticed are I ache a bt more and I can't take my drink these days, but in my mind I just feel exactly the same. Long may it continue!

well if i'm ever feeling old i just look at my mum and think yes, age is definitely just a number. My ma is 75, works at least 30 hours a week in a busy transport office and often more and goes out to the pub at least four nights a week. She does now have a couple of health problems but she doesn't let them stop her from living life to the full. Good on her I say!!

I'm 33 and don't feel any different to when I was 23, it is a state of mind in my eyes. A lot of people try to patronise me, because I come across as younger and look younger too, but I've done a lot in my time and don't look down at anyone old or young. You're as old or young as how you feel and life's too short to worry really. We're only here for a short time and we're a long time dead. If you want to go clubbing at 50, why not? If you don't want children, so be it, if you do, so be it too. It's down to the induvidual.

Mis felicitaciones desde España. Lo siento mucho, pero de ingles no tengo ni idea, pero creo que el idioma dará lo mismo para poder puntuar. Un saludo
