Yes the groceries are getting higher. The quantities are getting smaller. I shop at Kroger and they want $1.39 for one grapefruit. I like apples but a bag of apples $3.69 and that's if they are on sale. I try to buy what's on sale and use coupons all the time. We our on a budget and stick to it. Whenever they have the big packages of toilet paper and paper towels on sale we buy them and won't have to buy for a while.
Yes!!! It is getting harder and harder to make ends meet. The cost of groceries for us has increased to the point of not knowing what to do, and we just buy the basics to get by week by week. Quality control is no more with such and increase in food and product recalls. The other thing that urks me is that the grocery stores hardly offer any local produce. Really everything comes from Mexico. Really we can't grow food here. Oranges from Africa, rediculous!! How many recalls are we going to have on lettuce, just another one yesterday on the news. I try my best to by local produce during the summer months. Local tomatoes taste way better than styrofoam ones from local grocery store that we don't really know where they come from. Food prices are way out of hand!! Your right we are getting less and paying much more.
