IMO a GOOD parent can be a cool parent..they may not always be "cool" but taking care of their child/children and always being there for them in life is what makes a cool parent .and as far as a parent being a "friend" to their kid(s).....in my opinion to be a parent is more than just a "friend".

i think its okay too be a cool parent as long as you still make sure your child knows whats expected of them and that you don't let them run free and do whatever they want too do and think the have no rules
