I have always celebrated Mother's Day and will continue to celebrate it. I will send Mom a card and call her as she is far from me. My daughter and I will most likely go to a movie and have a lovely dinner. If it's nice, I hope we will use the grill.
I lost my mother last year but did celebrate Mother's Day by transplanting one of her rose bushes at her closest friend's house. Her friend is another great Mom and knew what joy my mom received from the roses. I believe that rose bush will flourish for her dearest friend and it will also bring her joy and good memories of my mom who we both miss so much.
I lost my Mum nearly three years ago, but she never enjoyed the commercial aspects of Mother's Day so I usually gave her "thngs" as presents, rather than flowers or chocolates (that always went up in price a few days before Mothering Sunday!) My now-adult children usually visit me on Mother's Day, but we don't make a major thing of it.
Yes I do. My mother is now elderly and I treasure each day and every mothers day, cause once their not here it is too late to start. Besides I enjoy having the family for a sit down lunch/dinner, especially teenagers where by their time is very precious.
