Is it cyberbullying or free speech?

This can be looked at a multiple of ways as well as twisted to either parties agenda which is sad. I feel the cyberbulling comes in when a person or many times (a herd of people) gather their forces to object to how another feels regardless to if it is an ethical, religious, etc. topic. When this happens, and the constant ganging up online continues without ceasing - it then turns into cyberbullying. Also cyberbullying happens when a target person is called many different names for how they feel on a certain subject. Yes, we have free speech but there has to be a fine line that we draw when it comes to dealing with human emotions. This is an opinion site and if a person feels strongly against or for this subject, it is rightly so that the person voice his/her opinion but the constant coming to another's opinion thread will get no person anywhere. We always need to remember we are at an opinion site and any target abuse is not ethical treatment to any other human. It's not right either, for one party to be punished for a topic just because the "lot" disagrees. This is when we fall into law suit material.

I strongly believe in free speech. What I say and think are my opinions alone and will fight for my right to say what I choose. As to the cyber bullying? It has always been my opinion that it is none of my business what you think of me. I am my own person. If someone chooses to call me a name, that makes no difference in my life. Especially someone on the internet that I have never met. They do not pay my bills, sleep with me, provide for me or my children. Not my father or my mother nor anyone that I associate with in any real or intimate way so why in the world would or should I care what a stranger thinks of me? What real long-term difference would this have in my life over the long haul? Will I even remember it in 6 months? A year? 5 years? I think not. I have a choice here if a person chooses to be nasty in response to my opinion, I have the choice to respond back ... or not. But I do love a good debate and have to say that I have learned much on this site and have even been changed by some of the things that I read. Especially with so many other countries writing in (here and on other sites that I visit) I get a much broader view of the world and this has changed me.
