Is this President’s Divisive Political Rhetoric tearing apart the country?

I know my phrasing is inflammatory. Just trying to increase my responses.
I have been concerned about this Presidents dangerous tactic of blame and scapegoating from day one. Although I voted for him, I find his toxic divisive rhetoric disturbing and unproductive. While I expect members of congress and certain pundits to engage in this sort of activity, it is beneath the office of President. It seems that Obama is only president of certain group of citizens that are presently politically expedient.
The result is a more angry and divided county than I am used too. The president has refused to accept any blame for any of the nation’s problems, and continues to paint his opposition with straw men arguments. Fabricating his opponents’ arguments, then tearing it down with ease is insulting and not productive.
Whatever your political ideology is, do you really think this president has offered any hope or change for the better. Why has this County become so angry and divided under this man? Why does he continue to disparage so many Americans’ as stupid, crazy, racist, or just plain evil? Do you believe it to be true? Are the difference in ideology as vast has this man want us to believe? And if so, when did this happen?

I think the same type of people that think this site is a wonderful improvement over the old one, are the ones that worship the fool Obama. Enough said.

Sorry, I do not leave my opinion on anything that has to do with American politics. I live in Canada and I do not follow US politics any more than I have to.

Everyone has different opinion on politics. My opinion is that Obama has a good vision for the country but he seems to be the type of person that wants to try and work with others as much as possible instead of being an unwavering leader. The Republican's on the other hand have just told the President to shove all his ideas where the sun don't shine. At first I liked his compromising but now that the GOP will not work with him he should stop this and just say it's my way or the highway. It wouldn't matter if the House or Senate blocked everything because you could say at least he put up a good fight. He's a good man in a bad career, politics.

I think the country will take years to understand that Obama had it right all along...Bush thoroughly messed up this country. He didn't fight for environmental change that would have helped us not need as much oil, he didn't protect our country which ended up with a major loss of life and he didn't change his history of putting American's to death upon reaching the presidency. He merely put them to death in the middle east instead of the death row numbers he had in Texas. I think any president would have been screwed trying to clean up Bush's mistakes. The last helpful bush was a burning one...time will tell.

I live in Canada so I can't really comment on President Obama. I am sure that whatever goes on where you are happens here as well. It doesn't matter who we vote for - our taxes will still go up, our medical care will fall apart, the price of gas will never stop going up. This is why I will soon be trading my car in for a scooter! There is no end in site for any of us.

Our president is doing the best he can! I will vote for him again and I believe he is the best person for the job. No president could have fixed the mess this country was in within one 3 year period or one term. He would have done much more had the Congress been willing to meet him half way.

He inherited the problems of this country..Granted he has done a few unacceptable things but overall he's alright...Can we be a better president? It's a hard job..

I try to stay away from these as they seem to bring out some of the worst in people and I have seen a lot of that around here lately. I just wanted to say that I do follow and support the ones that I believe will serve this country the best, I just don't share that here as I feel some tend to attack when they don't agree with what you may believe.

Why should he take the blame ,for the mistakes of others ?.Nothing I have heard him say is "inflammatory".He tells the TRUTH,about who caused our problems, and who are preventing him from being able to correct our problems. You need to GET SOME FACTS.It is THE REPUBLICANS that caused ALL of our problems, and it is THE REPUBLICANS,in CONGRESS,that are preventing him from getting his programs initiated.I don't agree, with everything that he has done,or that he proposes, but I will NEVER vote for a REPUBLICAN again,as long as the CONSERVATIVE LIARS are in charge of the party.Obama is currently our ONLY hope for the future of AMERICA.
