Yes I saw the story on the news but I have never had a bad experience and based on my experience I will continue to use them when convenient. They have delivered million of packages without incident and seemed to handle the issue appropriately. I find the company to be responsive to customer complaints and needs.
Yes, I do believe that FedEx has recovered from the bad publicity it received as a result of the its employees abusing packages in the delivery process. While the replaying of the video may have tarnished FedEx's image in the short term, I do not think it will have any long term effect. I think that the collective memory of the American population is incredibly short and that it is ancient history and forgotten by the vast majority of potential customers. I also think that FedEx's response was proactive and mitigated the situation.
