We are planning to buy one and have heard a lot of great things about Kitchen Aid but they are too expensive (around £400-£450). The Kenwood ones seem to do the same great job and are considerably cheaper (£200-£250). Any useful advice?
my dad was a master baker and used to make wedding cakes and he always used a kenwood and swore by it and much cheaper then the latest gimmick... kitchen aid
I have had a magimix mixer for many years and would thoroughly recommend the brand. It comes with attachments so you can make cakes, bread, grate and slice. It also doubles a a liquidiser.

Hi, That s a bit price difference so personally I would go for the cheaper one but it depends how much you cook & if you are going to get a lot of use out of it.
Hi Honeysuly ..... I dont use a Stand Mixer but I do have a Kenwood Food Processor which I have had for about 15 years, it gets a lot of use and is still going strong so Kenwood do offer value for money and if their Stand Mixers are as robust as their Food Processors then I dont think you will go far wrong, I agree the Kitchen Aid is very expensive and would probably last no longer than its cheaper counterpart at half the price ...... Remember half of the £400 - £450 price tag is due to the brand name and any celebrity endorsements it carries and not for its actul performance !!!!
