Most of my ancestors were here in the early to mid-1600s. I have traced both male and female lines as far back as I could find. Here are some interesting facts I found out about some of my ancestors: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *My father's paternal ancestor came to the colony of Massachusetts Bay in or before 1634. He was on the list of landholders in Massachusetts Bay in February, 1635. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *My direct paternal ancestor was one of those who built Harvard. He and his wife are buried there. (Another paternal ancestor help to build Yale.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *My father's paternal grandmother's ancestors came from Norway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *My mother's paternal grandmother's family were Scots-Irish. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you know when your ancestors first came to the Colonies or to the United States? Have you found any interesting facts about any of your ancestors?
I've never traced my ancestors. I only know a little information from what my parents told me. I know that my grandparents came over from Poland and Germany but that's about it.
