Do you remember when you used to get free gifts in cereal boxes?

I remember me and my sisters driving our poor mum crazy to buy the latest cereal, just because it had a free gift in the pack!!! She got a little bit fed up of us not eating the cereal and went back to buying good old fashioned Corn Flakes!!! How about you? Do you remember craving the free gifts that were in the cereal packs? Thanks. x

Oh my god, these were the days! Do they not do that anymore? how sad... childhood just isn't the same as it used to be :0( Caused lots of fights between me and my bro... luckily he was younger than me so I generally won, lol! xx Reply

My sister and I would fight over who got the plastic dohickey in the box of fruity pebbles or cornpops. It was never really any good, but we both wanted it and would dig to the bottom until we found it. Thing was, mom refused to buy more cereal until the box was gone, so we were stuck with what we chose. Reply

Oh wow, those were the days, can also remember pestering my Mum to buy the cereal with the bst toy inside, then fighting with my sister over who would get it. Emptying entire boxes of cereals into bowls to get the toy, then put the cereal back, lol.
They should bring toys back, or at least put tokens to collect for stuff on the boxes.

I used to live in the GDR where we were happy to get some corn flakes. There have never been any free gifts in the corn flakes package. But I loved my corn flakes with sume sugar and milk. It was something special for me because we could not buy them all the time. Bigfoot Reply

I remember I used to eat double the ammount of cereal so it could finish faster so I could go back to the supermarket and get the toys i did not have my first cravings were for disney toys and then tom an gerry stickers when I grew older I used to die for cherious because the boxes would come with book and I would make sure I completed the rohl darl collection and other collection of lanuguage books but these days you get less of free bees in cereals plus they are expensiver Reply
