Are you worried about being able to afford to live when you retire?

It may be that I am getting old of course, although I am only in my mid forties which I am hoping is not my dotage. I am sure this will not be bothering younger Tolunas, but recently I have been wondering how on earth my relatively meagre private pension from my time pre kids and current work pension and whatever the government give me, if anything by then, is going to let me make ends meet. To be fair I am a huge worrier and overthink everthing. Is is just me? Or are there more like minded, maybe similar aged people out there?

I'm not, I have at least thirty years until I retire, I haven't put much into my pension and it's not worth a lot but once the children are back at school I'll be able to work full time and get myself into a better position.

I've never thought of myself as being able to retire, I just thought I'd drop in harness. Now I know that I won't be getting any time off until my husband finally dies with his dementia. I might not be pulling a paycheck, but I'm working 24/7 for the foreseeable future. My bet is, I drop dead at his funeral, and there won't be enough money to pay for mine.

Really I do not worry about that because bother about any problem is not real solution... ...

I used to worry about this sort of stuff when l was a youth. Reckoned l would need thirty quid a week to get by then, this was in the early 70s. My how things change!! Worked like a Trojan at school, got a semi decent job and as long as l give up drinking, wenching and rioutous living l reckon l should be ok. Not given to being morose thank the lucky stars.

To be honest I do worry a little. I want to buy my own home so that it's one less bill to think about when I'm a pensioner but I also want savings to help coincide with my pension. Although at this rate I'll be working until I'm 75 anyway.

I do worry about whether I have made enough provisions for retirement and whether there will still be a state pension , too

Well to be honest this has not even crossed my mind maybe because i am only 26 so its about 40 years away yet and partly because i dont see the point in getting worked up and worrying over things that have not happened yet especially if there years away, but i suppose everyone is different, just dont worry about it to much you dont want to make your self ill over it

I will have no penson and no money, so if I can get some form of work I will work until I die or am unable to work, then into the poorhouse.
