Do you feel that the way you look affects your opportunities in life ?

I do believe that your looks can have a huge impact on life opportunities. It should not, but is society now that shallow ?

Yes I do think the smarter and more sophisticated a person looks the better opportunities are open for them

Yes to an extent, I think it is inevitable. You find yourself making snap judgements based on your observations many times a day, no matter how open minded you are, because its bred into us as a survival mechanism. Of course in some situations prejudice comes into it as well, but we all try and create a certain impression at times, even if it's just dressing smartly for an interview. I know someone who has a multicoloured mohawk hairdo and stubble and looks a bit scruffy. People underestimate him, but he is very intelligent and a very shrewd businessman.

I think it does have some influence on life- even the way you dress will affect if you get offered a job or not. Looks are probably more important than they should be.

Yes I think it does not only for who gets picked for things but also as if you don't feel you look good you don't feel confident in yourself

I think some employers are yes. My old boss admittedly gave me a job because I was young and he said if he was going to be working with somebody then he wanted somebody attractive with big t*ts and not some monster. I worked at another company too and noticed that nobody in there was unattractive everyone was actually really good looking and when I asked they admitted they employed people based on looks and not on experience. Both of them jobs were administration as well.

my first job i got an interview without filling a application, i started filing it and a bloke manager came accross and gave me a interview, it was a women who interviewed me and i did get the job but he clearly liked blondes as we found out in the future when more he got jobs, nice enough bloke just a bit dodgy but i did work there for 5years so it helped. Not saying im stunning but i was a 16yr old blonde girl so young women would probably get picked in some jobs over experienced people.
