What do you think is better, Old music or today's new music? What are your views?

I am a 19 year old male and i myself feel that old music is a lot better than today's music being produced, the old music has the greats such as Phil Collins, Tom Jones, Marvin Gaye, The Eagles, Santana, Simply Red and many more. Today's music doesn't compare to any of these artists/bands.

Oh, I hate most of the music of today. It is all shouting and screaming and howling like banshees, not much talent needed with the fancy machines that will use anyone as long as the girls have the desire to take off their clothes and the guys look good on camera. Give me that Old Time Rock n Roll, that kind of music just soothes the soul......

There's some wonderful 'old' music out there, but a lot of absolute junk too. Joe Bonamassa's one of my current modern faves and worth you having a listen to if you like Santana/Satriani and the likes

I can agree due to a lot of the older music is "pure" whereas a lot of todays music is keyboards and computers... Not "pure". To be fair though some of the new music is better and some of the oldies are coming back such as Mick Jagger featuring in THE (the hardest ever) and Madonna is still flexing at 50! I like both really and I'm 20.

i much prefer the old music of yesteryear like the 80's and early 90's, music you can actually sing to and dance to and hear the lyrics clearly, as their songs actually have some meaning to them, good old bands were around like the human league and queen and madonnas older better stuff, i dont like this new as much although some of it is okay, but mostly it is noise and sounds and grunts and rubbish

The older the music, the more enjoyable and memorable it is.

Hi there George, I suppose I may be biased but I do think the sixties and seventies music was by far the best. I was a teenager during that period and it was a lovely time to grow up many of the bands were just forming such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Merseybeats, The Monkeys and many many more it was probably the best time ever to be a teenager but as I have already said I may be biased
