Do you agree or disagree that college students should pay less to go through college?

Yes, because education is very important in life and college graduates make more money than non-college graduates.

There would probably be more people that go to college if it cost less, therefore making for a better world.

And educated population is more productive and makes our country more competitive. How we lower the cost is an open question.

The more I think about it, the more I think that it should be free. Mind you, I'm only talking about the university system and also restricting it to students with good grades and SAT or ACT scores.

Yes, if education was cheaper, more people could go back to school and make a better life for themselves. If prices seem intimidating, people are less motivated to follow through with their plans.

I think students should pay less. Colleges are continually raising tuition, forcing students to take out more and more loans. Very few people get a "free ride" and not everyone gets grants and scholarships. Even with the best intentions, not all parents can save up the money needed to pay for their child's education, much less saving up for their own retirement. (Chances are Dad's laid off and Mom's working two part time jobs just to make ends meet, and no one in the family has health insurance when your little brother breaks his arm.) When students graduate, they're being flung into a bad economy with few jobs. They'll struggle to get a job in their field because they went to school full time and were working part time to get by, and working at Starbuck's isn't going to count as experience in your field. There aren't many internships out there, and chances are most of them are unpaid. IF they're lucky enough to get a job at McDonald's or Wal-Mart, it's not going to be enough to pay their bills AND hefty student loan payments. I know people who've had to move back in with their parents because they can't afford to live on their own and pay on their loans. Student loan debt is higher than credit card debt in the US right now.

It depends, considering that Education nowadays seems to be a lesser priority than other things, I would argue that College should be cheaper for those who wish to get the minimum education/expertise for their fields(s), in which to work in that/those field(s).
