No, but I have hung up on them especially since they were already paid off years ago. Reply

I speak gibberish or I tell them for spanish press 2 or I blow my whistle, especially if I've told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number and to please take me off of their calling list. I am not in collections but someone who had my phone number before me, over 8 years ago, was. I even do all of the above to folks trying to sell me things, I've put their call back number into my fax machine in an attempt to tie up their phone lines! It does little to them but makes me feel better. Peace Out. Reply

Sorry--I have just never been so late with any payment that a collection agency had to be hired. Therefore, they've never called me... Reply

i don't get calls from collection agencies, but i do get calls from solicitors, and the most fun that i usually have is to see how fast i can get them to hang up on me. the best way is try and talk to them dirty, and ask her what see is wearing, and then get into dirty sex talk. usually they hang up in about 30 seconds. then sometimes i will them know that this call is being recorded for training purposes, then i will explain to them that i have a website, and it is posted for training. sometimes it works pretty fast, but not as fast as trying to talk dirty and make them feel uncomfortable. but yes i will try anything to kill time, and welcome these kinds phone calls, and try to totally make a games out of it. I am almost always polite to them and try and help them as much as possible however I do tend to rip them a new one if they call me back after they have apologized and promised to not call me again. I am still getting calls for the people who had my phone number before me and for about three years I would give the people their new number and address (about an hour away) but I don't know where they are now. I think it is pretty ridiculous that all these collection agencies, clubs and even the police department (my number was still listed as the emergency contact for the restaurant they sold in 2002) call me attempting to contact the people who had my number before me. Of course, I have only had this number since May of 2003 so it has only been about 9 years since they moved. A few decades ago an agency called me in Alaska about a bill that I had paid in full the year before and demanded twice as much money the bill had been that I had paid off. After I told them the date and amount I had paid and they still demanded money I explained that the next month I would be traveling through their town with my bear hunting dogs and I would be more than happy to drop in at their office with my dogs since the dogs would be needing some exercise and we could all discuss the matter but they should warn every one in the office not to run since my dogs would run them down. I never heard from that shyster outfit again. Reply

Oh yes! I actually start a pretty decent conversation with them. Cause you know they are people just like you and me. I talk to them about their families, the politics, the social dilemma of credit cards and all. But honestly speaking, I've never belittled them... that's just not me... and is not right. Reply
