Does your employer train you on onsite on a regular basis?

I have been with my employer for about six and a half years. I have been in the same department that entire time. A week ago they put us into training for a new department. We will train for three weeks, followed by practise for another two weeks before we go to regular work. I find this practise very generous on my employer's part and wondered if anyone else had this.

I remember my colleagues and I were trained, when computers were introduced into our workplace. That was quite some time ago, but doesn't seem that long. Reply

I last worked for a Bank in Dubai, and ofcourse it was a great institution to work for. They invested a great deal in their employees by providing extensive training. If there was any employee who felt lacking in skill or knowledge in any area, they were provided with all the training required. There were many instances when we were paid handsome incentives if we got through the tests at the end of our training. The result was indeed loyal employees and excellent service to customers. Reply
