Euthanasia (from the Greek εὐθανασία meaning "good death": εὖ, eu (well or good) + θάνατος, thanatos (death)) refers to the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering.
There are different euthanasia laws in each country. The British House of Lords Select Committee on Medical Ethics defines euthanasia as "a deliberate intervention undertaken with the express intention of ending a life, to relieve intractable suffering".[1] In the Netherlands, euthanasia is understood as "termination of life by a doctor at the request of a patient".
Did a report on this when I was in school..I do think if a person is suffering and wants to go..it is okay..but God doesn't agree with it..it is against the law in United States too.there are many arguments on this particular subject.when someone is in so much pain that they can't recognize any one or even know what's going on around them , perhaps they have already left this world anyway...who among us can make that decisioin? I guess it's a matter of each person beliefs than?! Thanks for this topic..
