Re releasing film in 3D. Is it just a way to make more money from them ?

Hi there, with the Titanic being re released in 3D for the 100th anniversary of it's sinking. As well as George Lucas re releasing Star Wars - The Phantom Menace as well. Which he is also hope to eventualy re release all of the Star Wars movies on 3D. I was wondering is this to enhance our viewing pleasure as they term it or just a way of making more money from the franchise. Plus how many more films will go down this same route in the forseeable future ? Should these films just be left alone as they are or be tinkered with and be re released on 3D ? What are your thoughts on this ?

I watched a 3D film years ago and it made my eye's feel strange!! So I'm not a big fan! I think that they should keep the films as they are. :¬) Reply

Yep I think this a chance for movie companies to make more money but I also think that it is up to the consumer to buy it, watch it. Reply
