I sometimes get depressed about life, even though I know I'm forgiven and loved by God, I need a break. Sometimes I have to go somewhere quiet to talk to Him, sometimes I listen to some good, uplifting music, and sometimes I need a lot of hugs from my kids. A walk is good too.
I think every one at some time gets depressed. I do. I do not like winter but I live in New Englaond area and it does get cold, so far this year it has been mild. When I am depressed I go for a walk or watch a funny movie that seems to help. I talk with my husband as well, he makes me feel better.
well no I don't really let stuff get to me , so stress and nerves don't really matter so being depressed to me is all in your head and I fell people just need to grow up
I was born depressed. Even my sister said she remembers me being that way when young. I wish I knew the answer to that, too. In my long life I have never found the answer. None of the things here have ever worked - for me.

Sometimes when you feel depression it is a sign that you need to take another look at your life. Make a list of all the blessing you have, the good things in your life, so that you can look at it when you do feel depressed and take a good look at your diet since some foods can cause depression and some can help you get past that. Good music can help as well but often the best cure is humor as well. Take a look at a video that I just posted here about the campaign for president by vermin something - I can't remember the whole name - and that will make you laugh or even have videos of things you think funny. You can not be depressed if you are laughing. For example, go to Youtube and search for Victor Borge if you have never heard of him and that will truly make you laugh out loud. I have seen his routines dozens of times and still laugh while watching him again.
I use to get depressed but now I just hand it over to God and enjoy life as it comes. I'am not able to change some things so I pray about it and leave it all in God's hands.I look at others and see how blessed I'am to have a roof over my head and something to eat. You really need to find out if your depression is a imbalance in your body or if it has something to do with your every day life. Maybe if you just get out of the house and get involved in something you will fill better.Sunshine ,good music and lot of love will also make you fill better sometimes. I also do a lot of praying and reading my bible which brings me closer to God and makes me fill better. I hope things get better for you and God bless you.
Go for a hike, play games, ipod, talk to friends on the phone, visit an art museum. I cook also because I like making my own things. Sometimes I clip coupons or read the paper or watch a cool tv show (big bang theory).
