Sweepstakes!

So who doesn't love free stuff? Who doesn't love to WIN free stuff? When I first started getting into couponing, I discovered one lady who covered extreme couponing, AND extreme sweepstake-ing. I was instantly hooked.

I spend about 1 hour a day entering close to 50-60 sweepstakes. I try for prizes that range from cash, to gift cards, to gift baskets, to free products, to coupons! I have won many things since I started, it's so much fun! I even got my mom into sweepstakes, and she had a small list of sweepstakes going, and she won a year's supply of free bread!

So my question Tolunians is this, are you a sweepstaker? 2nd, have you won anything? 3rd, WHAT WAS IT??!!? DO TELL!! :) If you are not a sweepstaker, are you interested, and what intrigues you about it?

I have never tried to enter to receive free stuff. I have seen ads before but never checked them out.

I've never really been into entering sweepstakes. The ones that I've come across have been the kind where they call you and tell you've won a gym membership or vacation but you have to put some money up for it. That's not free! If they were just sweepstakes entries with no strings attached, I would definitely be interested! :)

I don't go out of my way to find sweepstakes, or coupons either for that matter, but have won twice in different sweepstakes. Once years ago when I bought a ticket from a coworker and won several hundred dollars and recently here where I won the $500 prize. what intrigues me most is the fact that so many get sweepstake entries here and because or when they don't win start wondering if it is fixed without realizing how many others there are who also entered and also have a chance of winning!!

I'm VERY interested in doing this but how do I even start? I come across a few sweepstakes but not enough to make it worth while. Can you give a few tips? I've never won anything from a sweepstake but would like to give it a try. I remember a movie they did on a housewife from the early 1950's that covered this very same subject. It was based on a true story. It was called "The Prize Winner of Difiance Ohio".
