While I am not sure which is the best pedometer to get, I have read that you should get one with a coil instead of a spring for the best accuracy. I thought that they were pretty accuarate until I started to research them and found out that they just don't last very long and often calculate into steps, other things that you do, like bending and such. In either case, I just ordered one yesterday. I choose an Omron as it seems to be middle of the road and will last as long as all of the others. I want to incorportate more walking into my daily life and seem to do better if I can try to 'beat' my own record. Think that this will help me to stay focused, not cheat, and give myself just a little more push to walk more, gain energy and increase my overall health.
To be honest with you I have never had one but my sister has and I think that she may have bought her's from Boots. Some of these not only count the steps you make but also show you the calories that you have burned whilst doing so. I would think that it could quite an incentive when seeing how many calories you have burned when you are going to the shops and back, and at least that way you would not feel so guilty when you have something a little naughty to eat lol.
Hi there, it might be best going onto a consumer watchdog site like which to find out which would be the best one to get. I've no interest in getting a pedmeter because I know I walk at least 4 miles a day as it is.
I'm not sure which is the best one to get. I do alot of walking in the day, taking eldest son to school and playing taking youngest son out and about! Plus at work up and down alot of stairs!
