Several years ago when I was living with my parents' my 92 year old grandmother came to live with us for about 3 years'. Don't get me wrong here. I love my grandma very much and always' have. Regardless of that things' would get very strained while she was living in the house. Grandma was fully mobile and able to wander anywhere she wanted. As a result we needed to hire several ladies to come watch her on alternate days' and nights'. Some nights' we had no one to watch her and she would come into my bedroom or my parents' room. It is an unforgettable experience to be awakened at 3 am with grandma turning on my light and calling out "YOO HOO" in a very loud voice. She then had to be led back to her room and put to bed. She also, tried to escape the house in the middle of the night. This was out in the country and with the animals' outside it was not too safe. After numerous such episodes' my parents' finally put her in a nursing home. It was sad, but necessary because it was getting harder to cope with her erratic behaviors'. She is now 99 and still at the nursing home.
