I've one sister, and I only speak to her on the phone about once every month or two. I phone my parents every Sunday, but when I phone my sister it always seems awkward - we have trouble finding something to say and there are lots of awkward silences. We get on OK and I see her two or three times a year when I o back up to Scotland, and we chat OK face to face, but we just can't seem to chat comfortably on the phone.
What about you? Do you keep in regular contact with siblings? How often and by what method (phone, letter, personal visit, e-mail, social networking website like Facebook)?
I know, there are quite a few to chose from to say the least, but if you had to pick one, which would it be? I looked through the most obvious like the car, the train, central heating, rockets, X ray, the stapler... but for me it has to be the telephone which enables me to keep in touch with family and friends all over the world and have a proper conversation, not in an email or in writing. I do not use the phone a huge amount but I couldn't do without it these days. Thank you Mr Bell.
Sometimes I can go for a few weeks without speaking to my mother though generally I do try and ring her at least once a week. I can feel a little guilty about it but I wonder if this amount of contact is normal or am I being selfish?
