i have tried cambridge diet but that made me depressed, weight watchers confused hell out of me. slimming world seems to be the only successful one for me, but what about you?
I have been wanting to lose weight for years now! I am not obese on the body fat index but overweight and could do with losing a couple of stone. I find it relatively easy to lose half a stone but never go any further. Not sure I am keen on starting at weight watchers etc! I have begun weighing myself every week and recording it but does anyone have any great ideas on what else I could do. I am easily distracted so motivation is an issue. Any ideas would be greatly received!
I have recently started Slimming World as I have a lot of weight I'd like to shift, and just interested to hear from people who have either gone through it themselves or know of someone who has and if it helped or not. I have just done my first week and will be going for the weigh-in tonight.
Its about eating items that have less than 14% fat and less than 10% sugar if you buy packaged foods. Best thing is to have a good balance so 30% fruit/veg 20% protein and 20% grains and carbs.
Personally I tend to eat a lot of salads, cereal, homemade pasta dishes or rice dishes or stirfries and always have fruit for after meal snacking.
I do a heap of risotto type dishes, vegetable stirfries, lasagnes (healthy option), pasta bakes and with salads you can swap it up really easily with your ingredients including seeds and cous cous and stuff
Weight watchers yoghurts are really good, they are only 50 cals per pot and really tasty.
I don't have any weighing scales in our house. I get weighed twice a year at the doctor's surgery and that's eough for me. Do you have scales and how often do you weigh yourself?
Been on Weight Watchers for a couple of months with great success - want to carry on but getting bored with the same old meals. Do still love a meringue nest with chopped banana and a Weight Watchers yoghurt with a Skinny Cow hot chocolate for my supper though. Yummy.
My friend has joined Scottish Slimmers and is doing brilliantly and having tried the food she's made from the recipe book first hand I would highly recommend it! Kazz :]
